The 10 rules of good skier :
1.Take care of your equipment
Make sure you are properly equipped to prevent falls and limit their impact: sunglasses or mask, helmet, gloves, well-adjusted bindings.
2. Respect other skiers
You must behave in such a way as not to endanger anyone, either through your behaviour or your equipment.
3. Control your speed
You need to adapt your speed and behaviour to your personal ability, as well as to the quality of the ski runs, the number of skiers and the weather.
4. Respect the priority rules on the ski runs
The downhill skier has priority over the uphill skier. The latter must therefore anticipate his or her trajectory in order to preserve the safety of anyone downhill.
5. Overtake carefully
You should always overtake wide enough and at the appropriate speed to avoid collisions with the person you are overtaking.
6. Crossing other skiers in complete safety
Before entering a ski run or junction, reduce your speed, make sure you're not in the way and give way to the downhill skier.
7.Stop safely
You must stop at the edge of the piste, visible passages (not after a bump); in the event of a fall, you must move and clear the piste as quick as possible.
8. Walk up or down a ski run
Always use the edge of the piste to go up or down on foot, taking care that neither your equipment or you represents a danger to others.
9.Respect markings and signs
Respect the "slow down", "intersection", "danger", "piste fermée" or cross-shaped banners or poles to prohibit passage or warn of danger. Watch out for "quiet ski" zones to ensure the safety of beginners.
10. Get help and make yourself known
Anyone who witnesses or takes part in an accident must provide assistance, in particular by alerting. (using the telephone number indicated on the lift pass / on the "S.O.S. button" application, or at the nearest ski lift). You must give your identity to the rescue team. If necessary, at the request of rescue team, you must make yourself available.
