A VILLAGE AND A RESORT

From the 9th to the 13th of February of 1907 the first international ski race took place in Montgenèvre. In this occasion, some 3000 spectators come to support skiers from six different nations. So, Montgenèvre become the first mountain village in France to enter in the era of winter sports' tourism, and it is best known as The first ski resort in France.
